Eat enough protein

An international expert group recommends that healthy adults over 65 average at least 1.0 to 1.2 g of protein per kilogram of body weight a day, and at least 1.2 g if they are exercising and active. People with kidney disease or an illness may need a different amount, so they should ask a clinician or registered dietitian. The Fit after 50 protein calculator shows guidance matched to your situation.
